Health & Safety

As the world continues to adapt to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the health and wellbeing of our Guests, staff and local community remains as strong as it always has been. The Ungasan has implemented enhanced health and safety standards and procedures that are in line with guidelines from the World Health Organisation and Indonesian authorities.

 

Additionally, we have partnered with Diversey, a global leader in sustainable solutions for cleaning and hygiene, to ensure that behind The Ungasan experience you love, are best international practices to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff alike. 

 

Staff

Our staff are our most important asset in creating our famous ‘service from the heart’. To ensure their well-being, we make sure that:

  • All staff at The Ungasan are double-vaccinated with WHO approved COVID-19 Vaccine.
  • All staff are trained in appropriate WHO & Diversey health & safety guidelines 
  • All staff temperatures are checked daily on arrival at the Resort
  • All staff wear face masks.

Rooms

  • Check ins & check outs will be handled at your Villa or Residence for your convenience
  • Face masks and sanitiser will be provided for guests on arrival
  • Room keys, pens and POS machines will be sanitised before guest use
  • Thorough disinfection of rooms between guests.

Public Areas

In addition to our usual high standard of hotel and resort cleanliness, we have enhanced cleaning regimens to adapt to global health guidelines as follows:

  • High traffic areas are cleaned every hour and high touch key points are sanitized after every guest
  • Enhanced disinfection and social distancing will be provided for at all Resort facilities such as the gym and the main resort pool.

Food & Beverage

  • Adoption of food safety management system as certified by Indonesian Government authorities
  • Tables, chairs and menus will be sanitised before guest use, with QR code menus available
  • Extra spacing between tables
  • Mandatory use of face masks by staff when preparing meals and serving food
  • Hand sanitisers available for guests’ use.

Sundays Beach Club 

  • Proof of vaccination, or negative COVID19 test (within 48 hours) will be required on entry 
  • Queue management will apply for Sundays Beach Club arrival and waitlist 
  • Inclinator will have restricted numbers of passengers on each journey and will be sanitised between each group of guests
  • Extra spacing will be provided between tables and sun beds
  • Tables, chairs and menus will be sanitised before guest use
  • Mandatory use of face masks by staff when preparing meals and serving food
  • Hand sanitisers available for guests’ use.

Vela Spa

We have adopted strict hygiene and safety protocols at Vela Spa including:

  • Hand sanitiser and face masks offered to all guests on arrival.
  • Thorough disinfection of all equipment and beds between guests
  • Mandatory use of masks, hand sanitiser for Therapists.
